In mid February, 2 workers suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns when they were splashed in the face with sulfuric acid from a broken pipe at the Tesoro Golden Eagle refinery in Martinez CA. The CSB and CalOSHA are investigating the incident amid reports of missing required safety equipment and questionable safety culture.
Here at the Refining Community, we are noticing a “crack down” on refinery incidents. Let us help you tighten up your plant’s safety culture and safeguard your personnel.
At our upcoming RefComm Galveston 2014, April 28-May 2, we are offering a variety of Training Courses for both FCC and DCU personnel – including Alkylation Fundamentals.
