On March 14th, an early morning earthquake off the island of Kyushu, Japan resulted in an emergency shutdown of Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd’s Tokuyama refinery. An assessment of the Tokuyama complex is underway and the company is preparing to resume operations as soon as possible.
